Chat Room

Scouring the internet, I was extremely disappointed to find a lack of social worker chat rooms. In fact, most of the sites out there are either broken or simply not maintained. Upon further thought, there isn't really a centralized location online where social workers can get together and just talk. Hence, I have taken the initiative and created a chat room on this blog. You can access it by clicking the "Chat" tab or clicking here. My hope is to create an active chat room where social workers from all over the world can vent, share ideas, and support one another. While I don't plan on having scheduled chat sessions, I might change my mind later on depending on how things go. Of course, ground rules apply, and you'll find them listed above the chat room. In short, don't be stupid. We social workers are all aware of the importance of a supportive environment in preventing burnout. This room is designed to be a safe place for everyone. Enjoy!

  1. Great idea! I also have taken to Twitter. There's a really awesome social work community on there, from across the land. I know they do weekly chats.
